スティーブ・ジョブズ氏がスタンフォード大学の学生に送った言葉ですが、

この言葉は普遍的に大切なことを意味しているようです。

明治時代、終戦から1970年代まで、

日本国民は世界一hungryでfoolishな国民だったようです。

明治の困難を乗り越え、敗戦後も見事に復興できたのは、

hungryでfoolishな人々がたくさんいたからだという方たちには共感を得ます。

Hungryとは、「現状に満足しないで挑戦する心」

日本が得意とする文化的で、創造的なものに挑戦したいですね。

Foolishとは、「生き方のこと」

人の真似をしないで、自分が探し出した目標とビジョンを大切にすることだそうです。

他の人のやり方や常識、通説や制約条件を気にしないでいく生き方をスティーブ・ジョブズ氏は示唆しているようです。
